Â
Swensen is a 2013 graduate of Roger Williams University as she earned her degree in finance before also receiving a Master's in leadership in 2019. She was a four-year starter and two-time captain at catcher for the Hawks. She truly made her mark across her 169 career starts behind the plate for the Blue & Gold as she ranks in the top ten in program history in career on-base percentage, fielding percentage, runs scored, steals, doubles, home runs, walks and putouts.
Â
As a senior, Swensen lead Roger Williams to a 24-20 record, including 14-4 against conference opponents as the Hawks claimed the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Along the way, she the won several individual accolades as she was voted as the CCC Player of the Year and Senior Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year while garnering a spot on the ECAC Division III New England All-Star Second Team.
Â
After concluding her playing days, Swensen remained with the Hawks as an assistant coach from 2014-17 as she helped guide the Hawks to an 84-71 record and a pair of CCC Championship Game appearances before she fully transitioned into her role in the Roger Williams Office of Alumni Relations.
