Hawk Talk Episode 13: Gregg Kaye (Part 1)

Commissioner of the Commonwealth Coast Conference Gregg Kaye sat down with host Bryce Johnson for part one of a special two-part edition of Hawk Talk. This week, Kaye and Johnson discussed the CCC's adjustment to COVID-19, the numerous NCAA committees that he is a part of and the expansion of the conference during his time as commissioner. Part two of the conversation will be published next Thursday.

Kaye is in his 14th season as commissioner of the CCC after spending six seasons with the Division II Sunshine State Conference based out of Orlando, Florida. During his tenure at the helm of the CCC, he has guided the creation of conference Championships in men's golf, men's ice hockey and women's track and field and most recently expanded the conference to ten teams for this academic year. He has also been the commissioner of the New England Football Conference, now known as Commonwealth Coast Football, since 2015.
 
At the national level, Kaye is a distinguished as a member of the NCAA Division III Baseball Committee, spending time as the committee's national chairman and as New England region representative. In 2014 he was recognized for his service to Division III baseball by receiving New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association's Andy Baylock Distinguished Service Award. He has also spent time on various Division III committees including currently serving on the Division III Convention Planning Subcommittee.
