Women's Soccer Members Earn NEWISA Awards

BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams University Women's Soccer member's Alli Santacroce (Burlington, Conn.) and Ari Delli-Carpini (Bedford Hills, N.Y.) have been honored by the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) and named to the NEWISA All-New England Second and Third Team.

Santacroce scored in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship game in 2017 to help the Hawks win their third championship in four years. She played mostly as a defender and at right back while starting in a total of 71 games in her collegiate career.

Delli-Carpini appeared in 17 games this past season for Roger Williams. She led the Hawks with 17 points and tied for the team lead with seven goals. Most notably, she scored the game-winning goal against Commonwealth Coast Conference member Salve Regina University on October 5th, 2019. In addition, Delli Carpini was nominated to play in the 2019 NEWISA Senior Bowl this past year and was also named to the All-CCC First Team.
