Gildea is a fourth-year member of the Hawks out of Palos Park, Illinois where she served as team captain of her high school team for three seasons before coming to Bristol. In her freshman season, she earned a trio of top-five finishes including a division win at the Sister Esther Open, a meet that saw the Hawks finish in second place.
Â
In her sophomore campaign, Gildea posted eight top-five finishes including four in the top-three and a fifth-place finish at the NEISA Team Race Championship. Last season, she had three top-five finishes in the fall and early spring seasons before the shutdown.
Â
However, thus far this spring, Gildea has put together what has easily been her best season to date. Across her four regattas this spring, she has finished in first place in three, including the Hap Moore Team Race, the Southern New England Team Race, and the Robin Wallace Team Race.

Off the water, Gildea is studying Finance.
