How It Happened
The Hawks went up early and never looked back. Lily Cunningham (Melrose, Mass.) kicked off the contest with a goal for the Hawks in the first 12 seconds of the game, followed by Julia Kelley (Foxborough, Mass.) adding another goal for RWU within the first minute. In all, the Hawks combined for seven goals in the first 12 minutes of play.

Sabrina Santaniello ended the Hawk run with an unassisted goal at the 17:49 mark. However, that would be the only score for the Curry in the half, as Roger Williams rolled off seven more goals before the end of the half, including four by Ryleigh Cavanaugh. Roger Williams would go into halftime holding on to a comfortable 14-1 lead.

In the second half, Cunningham added two more goals for RWU in the first three minutes of play to build the lead to 15. Santaniello scored her second goal of the game on a free position shot five minutes into the half. Again, her tally would be Curry's lone score of the period. The Hawks closed out the contest with five more goals to pick up the 21-2 win.

Roger Williams's 19-point win over Curry is the team's largest margin of victory over the Colonels in the history between the two teams, beating the previous mark of 17 set back in March of 2015 (W 21-4).
