How It Happened
The Hawks took control of the game early and never looked back.
Campbell Haller (Nashua, N.H.) began the game with a pair of goals in the first three minutes of play as part of an 8-0 Hawk run to begin the contest. RWU rolled off six goals in the first 7+ minutes of play to go up quickly
Murray put in an unassisted goal for Wentworth to halt the Hawk run with 17:50 to play in the half, but RWU notched seven more scores before halftime, including two from O'Hara to take a commanding 15-1 lead at the break.
In the second half, Roger Williams held Wentworth scoreless in the second, holding the Leopards to only six shots in the period. Conversely, Roger Williams put up nine goals in the half, two of which from Erickson.
The 24 goals scored by the Hawks ties a program record set on three other occasions. RWU's last 24-goal game was a 24-0 shutout of Nichols back in 2019.
