Hawks Soar Over Bison 7-2

Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams Men's Tennis team defeated Nichols College 7-2 in a nail biting match this afternoon.
 
Hawk Highlights
The Hawks took an early 3-0 lead after shutting out Nichols in doubles play. Jon Trevethan (Berlin, Conn.) and Dan Tocco (East Quogue, N.Y.) took down opponents Niklas Koehne (Germany) and Sam Kluger (Nashua, N.H.) 8-3 in #1's. At #2, Ryan Schuck (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Arlex Correa (Lynnfield, Mass.) defeated their Nichols opponents 8-4. In the #3 spot, Tyler Cain (Montpelier, Vt.) and Nick Cristante (North Haven, Conn.) triumphed Michael Dunayevskiy and Brendan Sterli (Croton-On-Hudson, N.Y.) 8-6.
 
Later on in singles, Trevethan grabbed a win over Koehne 6-0, 6-0. Tocco earned his fifth win from his opponent Kluger 6-2, 6-2. Schuck and Jake Bernard (Redding, Conn.) defeated Dunayevskiy and Lane Parks (Wauchula, Fla.) 6-2, 6-2 and 7-5, 3-0 for the 7-2 win.
