Bristol, R.I.- The Roger Williams University Sailing team saw their coed team qualify for nationals at the New England Championships while elsewhere, they earned a win for the sixth consecutive weekend, this past weekend. The Hawks sent a total of eight boats onto the water at the New England Women's Championship, Coed New England Championship, and URI Spring Invite, and saw their teams take first and second at the later of the three competitions.

The Hawks coed team consisting of
Spencer Cartwright (Nassau, Bahamas) and
Rachel Holick (Lawrence, N.J.) in A Division, along with
Cameron Wood (Corona del Mar, Calif.) and
Emily Gildea (Palos Park, Ill.) in B Division clinched a berth in the national championship regatta in June.

Hawk Highlights
On Saturday, at the New England Women's Championship, the Hawks sent a team out on the water and took home sixth place in that competition. Meanwhile, RWU had a pair of teams at the URI Spring Invitational and saw both teams, Hawks1 and Hawks2, perform very well taking home first and second-place respectively. Then at the Coed New England Championships on Sunday, Roger Williams took home a third-place finish to qualify for nationals.
