SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Roger Williams Men's Tennis team triumphed Western New England University 9-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The number one's
Jon Trevethan (Berlin, Conn.) and
Dan Tocco (East Quogue, N.Y.) earned their seventh win 8-3 during doubles play over Matthew Russell (Auburn, Mass.) and Max Gordon (Middleton, Mass.).
Ryan Schuck (Glastonbury, Conn.) and
Arlex Correa (Lynnfield, Mass.) took down Sebastian Smerczak (Auburn, Mass.) and Michael Robichaud (Auburn, Mass.) 8-5. Number three's
Tyler Cain (Montpelier, Vt.) and
Nick Cristante (North Haven, Conn.) dominated over their opponents 8-3 to put the Hawks up three heading into singles.
Trevethan, Tocco, and Schuck remain undefeated in singles (7-0) defeating WNE's players (6-0, 6-3), (6-3, 6-2), and (6-1, 6-1). Cain conquered Smerczak 6-4, 6-4 while Correa had a tougher match against
Brendan O'Connell (North Providence, R.I.) but won in three 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Ben Chiasson (Bristol, Conn.) overcame Mohammed Alsairafi (Chicopee, Mass.) 6-0, 6-4 to secure the 9-0 win for the Hawks.
