After a shot by Karli Opalka (Southbury, Conn.), Kaylee Beyor (Hinesburg, Vt.) scored the next three points for UNE for a slim 4-3 advantage with 5:37 left in the period. From there, Sam Mancinelli (Peabody, Mass.) knocked down a three-pointer that kicked off a 15-0 run for the Hawks that turned their one-point deficit into a 14-point lead going into the final minute. The Hawks would end the quarter up 18-6.

The Nor'Easters managed to climb their way back into the game early in the second quarter, with Jordyn Franzen (Salem, N.H.) hitting a three to make it a seven-point game (15-22) with just over four minutes left in the half. Yet the Hawks were able to build the lead back up to 12 to go into the break leading 30-18.

In the third quarter, Roger Williams maintained their double-digit lead throughout the entirety of the period, save for a 28-second stretch after Tracey began the quarter with a three. The Hawks led by as many as 18 before going into the fourth leading 48-33.

In the final quarter, the Nor'Easters made a late run, pulling within seven (44-51) with 2:23 left to play. However, Roger Williams held UNE to only two points over the rest of the game to win the game by 12.
