BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University women's soccer team controlled play throughout the contest, but was unable to overcome Curry in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup at Bayside Field, 1-0.
 
The Hawks were able to outshoot the Colonels 23-4, and 7-1 in shots on net, but Curry's goalkeeper, Hannah Correa, made seven saves in the match.
 
The lone goal of the match came in the 17^th minute when a foul inside the box, gave Curry a penalty kick opportunity.  Samantha Borges took the attempt for the Colonels and buried the attempt, taking a 1-0 lead.
 
The Hawks put two attempts on net in the first half, and placed another five shots on net in the second half, but were unable to overcome the defense of Curry.
 
Roger Williams (5-8-2, 2-2-2 CCC) will host Endicott on Saturday, Oct. 15 for Homecoming and Family weekend on Bayside Field at 12 pm.  The Hawks will then host Fitchburg State on Monday, Oct. 17 at 7 pm in their final non-conference contest of the season.
