CCC RELEASE

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Coco Marrelli (Fairfield, Conn.) of the Roger Williams University women's soccer team was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 2, the first weekly honor of her collegiate career.
 
The Hawks posted a 1-1 record with their win coming against Suffolk in CCC action on Saturday, Oct. 1.
 
Marrelli picked up the win in her lone start of the week as she saved nine shots in the contest. After allowing an early goal off of a save, Marrelli rebounded to save the next eight shots on target from the Rams, as she kept Suffolk off the scoreboard during the final 87:13 of play.
 
Roger Williams (5-6, 2-1 CCC) will host Wesleyan on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7 pm on Bayside Field.  The Hawks will then be on the road for their final two games of the week, Thursday, Oct. 6 against UMass Dartmouth, and Wentworth on Saturday, Oct. 8 in CCC Action.
