PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was a balanced effort for the Roger Williams University Wrestling team, as 11 different individuals picked up a win in a tri-match sweep of New England College and Rhode Island College at the Recreation Center on the campus of Rhode Island College on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks dominated all the way, steamrolling New England College, 46-3 before having little trouble picking up a win over RIC, 34-12.
 
With the wins, RWU improves to 17-4 in duals action this season while the Anchormen moved to 7-10 and the Pilgrims fall to 0-13. Roger Williams is also undefeated in their five matches all-time against NEC while they have been victorious in 11 of their last 12 against RIC.
 
Addison Boisvert (Scarborough, Maine), Leonard Breit (Johnson, R.I.), Jacob Cardozo (Southington, Conn.), Kyle Kaiser (Paramus, N.J.), Cole Shaughnessy (Fairfield, Conn.) Peter Tringali (Chester, N.J.) each recorded a pair of wins on the day, all of whom collected a pin as one of their victories with the exception of Cardozo who had a pair of wins by tech fall. Of that group, Tringali was the only one to pin his opponent in both of his matches.
 
Travis Arata (Riverdale, N.J.), Jordan DeValle (West Orange, N.J.), and Michael Roe-Deters (Woodstock, Ga.) each had one match on the day and picked up a win. Arata won by decision, DeValle with a pin, and Roe-Deters won by tech fall for the first time this season.
 
Also getting wins were Ben Bariso (Butler, N.J.) and Matt Lucas (Danbury, Conn.) as they split their two matches on the afternoon. Lucas won by decision and Bariso by tech fall.
 
All told, RWU went a combined 17-3 between the two duals, collecting eight pins and four wins by tech fall.
