Men’s Tennis Rolls To Win Over Gordon

BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams Men's Tennis team logged its second straight shutout victory with a 9-0 win over Gordon College Tuesday afternoon.
 
Hawk Highlights
Dan Tocco (East Quogue, N.Y.) and Jon Trevethan (Berlin, Conn.) grabbed an 8-5 win at #1 doubles against Ezekiel Hall and Mark Noschese, while Ryan Schuck (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Alex Smith (Bedford, N.H.) set down John Marineau and Alex Ryzi 8-1 at #2. Finishing up the clean sweep for the Hawks were Tyler Cain (Montpelier, Vt.) and Matt Glassman (West Hartford, Conn.), defeating Nathan Gonzalez and Adrian Thomas 8-2 at #3.
 
At singles, Glassman and Schuck won their respective #3 and #4 matches against Noschese and Ryzi by identical 6-0, 6-1 scores. Cain won his #6 match 6-3, 6-0 over Thomas while Trevethan beat Hall 6-2, 6-1 at #1. Tocco needed a little extra in the second set for his 6-1, 7-5 win against Marineau at #2. Johnny Baldyga (Simsbury, Conn.) finished things off with a 6-2, 6-2 win against Ryzi at #5.
