BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams Men's Tennis team dominated on Senior Day, crushing the Western New England Golden Bears 9-0 on Saturday at the RWU Tennis Courts. This victory marks the sixth time in the last eight matches that the Hawks have swept their opponent.

In doubles play,
Jon Trevethan (Berlin, Conn.) and
Dan Tocco (East Quogue, N.Y.), played in the top pairing, sweeping their peers from WNE. In the number-two pairing,
Ryan Schuck (Glastonbury, Conn.) and
Johnny Baldyga (Simsbury, Conn.) allowed only one point to the Golden Bears second pairing, while
Matt Glassman (West Hartford, Conn.) and
Tyler Cain (Montpelier, Vt.) succumbed a pair of points, but still won their match 8-2.
In singles play, RWU kept their foot on the pedal, as five of the 12 sets were by the home team in shutout fashion, and only one set saw a Golden Bear score more than two points. Trevethan swept both of his sets while both Glassman and Schuck won their matches with two mirroring 6-2 sets. In the fifth and sixth singles matches,
Arlex Correa (Lynnfield, Mass.) and Baldyga also matched each other's results, winning their matches with sets of 6-0 and 6-2.
