In the newest episode of Hawk Talk,
Brooke Dutton (Coventry, Conn.), junior captain on the Roger Williams University Women's Track & Field team, joined the podcast. She sat down with host
Bryce Johnson to discuss what inspired her record-breaking throw at the CCC Championship last year, her experience during her New England Championships qualifying discus throw, and what it is like to be a student-athlete majoring in architecture.

Dutton specializes in the throwing events. Thus far, her furthest final discus throw, which qualified her for the New England Championships this year and landed her first place, was 35.61 meters. Her furthest final distance for the hammer throw is 38.11 meters, placing her at 13th at the most recent invitational competition.
Â
Last season, as a member of the CCC Championship-winning Hawks' squad, Dutton set the meet and program record in the Discus Throw. That was one of three events in which she earned All-Conference honors, helping lead RWU to their third-consecutive conference title.

Off the track, Dutton is an architecture major and was named to the CCC All-Academic team last spring.
