BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Lacrosse team posted its fourth 20+ goal effort of the season, cruising to a 22-1 win over Curry College Tuesday evening.

How It Happened
A first quarter surge by the Hawks essentially put the game on ice early on.
Brooke McErlain (Hampton, N.H.),
Ryleigh Cavanaugh (Manchester, N.H.), and
Mandy Beck (Old Saybrook, Conn.) all score within a two-minute stretch for a quick 3-0 lead. The Hawks would not be done as RWU posted nine total goals in the opening quarter, two of each from Cavanaugh and McErlain.
Karli Chapin (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) scored at the 10:50 mark of the second quarter to kick start the running clock for the Hawks. However, the Hawk offense would not score again until 2:30 left in the half, with Beck logging her second goal of the game. Then with 51 seconds before halftime. Sharon Doherty (Easton, Mass.) notched a free position goal to end the shutout for Curry.
In the third quarter,
Campbell Haller (Nashua, N.H.) scored the first two goals of the period and assisted on the third to Chapin to extend the Hawks' lead to 12.
Nikki Norton (Braintree, Mass.) handed out her fourth and fifth assists of the game on RWU's next two goals. By the end of the quarter, Roger Williams led 17-1.
In the fourth, RWU tallied four more goals in the frame while continuing to hold the Colonels scoreless.
Danielle Anastasia (Walpole, Mass.),
Grace Paliseno (Brightwaters, N.Y.), and
Ella Waryas (Foxboro, Mass.) all scored the first goals of the game in the period.
