Strock Leads Five All-CCC Honorees For Women’s Track & Field

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Tasha Strock (Castleton, N.Y.) earned All-Commonwealth Coast Conference First Team honors to lead five all-conference selections for the Roger Williams University Women's Track & Field team as it was announced on Thursday. Strock earned first team honors in the Triple Jump while adding a third team recognition in the Long Jump for the Hawks while Brooke Dutton (Coventry, Conn.) also received All-CCC honors in multiple events.

"All-Conference distinction in women's track and field is determined at the CCC Championship meet. Gold medal winners earn First Team All-CCC recognition with silver medalists being named to the Second Team and bronze medalists being recognized as Third Teamers," explained the conference's official release. "Voting for the major awards was conducted by the seven CCC women's track and field head coaches during the week following the CCC Championships."

Strock was the lone member of the Hawks to make the first team, doing so in the Triple Jump after posting a mark of 10.38m to top the conference. She netted her second All-CCC honor of the year by taking third in the Long Jump, posting a mark of 4.83m. This marks the third and fourth time she has earned all-conference after making the second team in the same events a year ago when she was also named the CCC Rookie Field Performer of the Year. She was also joined by her sister, Shirah Strock (Castleton, N.Y.) who earned All-CCC recognition for the third time in the Pole Vault. She posted a mark of 3.05m to take second at the meet.

The other RWU performer to get all-conference in multiple events is Dutton who did so for the fourth and fifth times. She finished second in the Discus Throw with a toss of 33.56m, adding a third-place mark of 3512m in the Hammer Throw.

Another thrower, Sami Brody (Clinton, Mass.) got third team recognition. She took third in the Javelin Throw for RWU with a 30.28m toss.

Caitlin Boufford (Londonderry, N.H.) was the lone track athlete to get All-CCC honors after she posted a runner-up time of 12:32.49 in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase.
