Box Score DUDLEY, Mass. — The Roger Williams Men's Tennis team came up just shy in their attempt to repeat at Commonwealth Coast Conference Champions, falling to Nichols College, 5-1 in the CCC Championship match on Saturday afternoon at the Robinson Tennis Courts. The Bison claim their 11
th crown in program history.
The Hawk see their impressive season halted with a 16-3 record with their 16 wins being tied for the third-most by the team in a single campaign.

After dropping their first match since September against Endicott on Tuesday,
Dan Tocco (East Quogue, N.Y.) and
Jon Trevethan (Berlin, Conn.) got right back on track for Roger Williams in the topflight, beating Giancomo Ghitti (Brescia, Italy) and Santiago Perez (Alicante, Spain) in commanding fashion, 8-1, and Roger Williams was off to a fast start. The second and third flights for the Hawks would not share that success, however. In #2 doubles,
Johnny Baldyga (Simsbury, Conn.) and
Ryan Schuck (Glastonbury, Conn.) fell to Adrian Toderascu (Chisinau, Moldova) and Steven Kuang (Guangzhou, China), 8-4. Then in the final doubles match to conclude, Jose Siles (Lima Peru) and Enzo Matos Balleux (Weimar, Germany) would outlast
Tyler Cain (Montpelier, Vt.) and
Matt Glassman (West Hartford, Conn.), 8-5 in the third flight as Nichols would lead 2-1 entering singles play.
The Bison would complete the win in solos, picking up their first point in the fifth flight where Silas handed Baldyga his first collegiate singles loss by dominating, 6-0, 6-0. In #4 singles, the hosts got a point away as Moritz Kern (Herzogenrath, Germany) took care of Schuck, 6-2, 6-1. Finally, in the sixth flight, Sam Kluger (Nashua, N.H.) put the finishing touches on the Nichols championship, besting
Arlex Correa (Lynnfield, Mass.), 6-2, 6-0.
