BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Roger Williams University women's soccer team visited the University of New England on Saturday, falling 1-0 to the Nor'easters at Barbara J. Hazard Field in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play.
The Hawks had eight shots on contest, to the Nor'easters four, while both teams only received a pair of corner kicks each.

Sofie Morris (Bristol, R.I.) put both of her shot attempts on net.
The University of New England goalkeeper made eight saves to keep the blank sheet.
After playing the first 34 minutes of the match in a scoreless draw, the Nor'easters were able to break through with a goal from Bella Reil with 15:22 remaining in the opening half. The Hawks had a pair of opportunities in the final five minutes but were unable to strike.
Both teams were unable to score in the second half as Roger Williams took seven shots in the half, to the Nor'easters four.
Roger Williams (2-4, 0-1 CCC) will look to rebound on Tuesday, Sept. 20 against WPI at 7 pm in Worcester, Mass. They will then follow with a Thursday, Sept. 22 matchup at Brandeis, before hosting Gordon for a home CCC matchup on Saturday, Sept. 24.
