BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University women's soccer team came away from Saturday afternoon's contest against Gordon with an offense that continued producing downing the Fighting Scots, 4-0.
The Hawks put half of their shots on net, scoring on 50 percent of their attempts, while
Coco Marrelli (Fairfield, Conn.) made six saves in the contest.
Leah Yucius (Duxbury, Mass.) broke the scoreless tie at the 9:22 mark, scoring after receiving a pass from
Bianca Robbins (Johnston, R.I.) off of a throw in.
Bianca Robbins then scored just under 16 minutes later.
Right before the halftime break,
Raffaella Brunetti (North Providence, R.I.) scored with 1:23 remaining in the opening frame.
Brunetti then picked up her second assist of the game with a pass from over midfield to
Julia Robbins (Johnston, R.I.), that Robbins finished in the bottom left corner of the net.
Roger Williams (4-5, 1-1 CCC) will host Bridgewater State in a non-conference mat hup on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 7 pm on Bayside Field. The Hawks will then travel to Suffolk on Saturday, Oct. 1 for their first CCC contest of October.
