PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – The Roger Williams University men's golf team hosted the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Qualifier Thursday afternoon at the Green Valley Country Club, earning a spot in the CCC Championship next spring.
The Hawks were led by
Ben Brodeur (Whitinsville, Mass.) who posted a 77 on the par 71 course, scoring a pair of birdies.
Trevor Hada (Los Angeles, Calif.) also had a team high three birdies on the scorecard, coming in with 78.
The Hawks needed every stroke in the event, edging out Western New England by one stroke for the final spot in the CCC Championship.
Nichols finished in the top spot by two strokes compiling a team score of 309, followed by Endicott with 311, Suffolk at 317 and the Hawks at 319.
Roger Williams will compete at the Blazer Invitational this weekend hosted by Elms.
