Box Score BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University women's volleyball team fell in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action, 3-0.
The Hawks jumped out to a 6-1 lead, before the Gulls scored seven of the next eight points to take an 8-7 advantage. After the Hawks held a one point lead, the Gulls used eight straight points to take advantage of the first set, and hold on for the win.
In the second again the Hawks got out o a hot start with four straight points to start the set, however the Gulls then outscored Roger Williams 12-1 over a 13 point stretch to control the match.
In the third set Endicott and Roger Williams battled to a 18-17 Gull advantage before Endicott scored three straight points for a 21-17 advantage, that they held for the remainder of the match.
Roger Williams (4-8, 1-2 CCC) will travel to Wheaton on Saturday, Oct. 1 for a non-conference tri-match against the Lyons and the Rams of Framingham State. They will then host Salve Regina on Tuesday, Oct. 4 against Salve Regina.
