BRISTOL, R.I. - In a tightly contested women's soccer match, Roger Williams managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory over the University of New England (UNE) on a cool Saturday afternoon at the Bayside Field.
The University of New England's record moved to 6-4-3, with a conference record of 3-2-0, while Roger Williams University now sits 8-6-3 overall record, with a conference record of 3-1-1.
UNE out shot Roger Williams, 12-10, with four of their shots on target. Roger Williams, however, were efficient in front of goal, with six of their ten shots finding the target. The UNE's Sydney Gillingham made five saves, while Roger Williams'
Coco Marrelli (Fairfield, Conn.) made four crucial stops to preserve the clean sheet.
