Box Score BOSTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University men's basketball team fell to Wentworth on Saturday afternoon in a key Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup in Tansey Gymnasium, 95-65.
 
The Hawks were led on the offensive end by Nate Lopes (Scituate, Mass.) who tallied 17 points, while pulling down six boards, with a pair of assists.  Defensively, Lopes had three steals and a pair of blocks in the matchup. Ty Higgins (New Marlborough, Mass.) also had 11 points in the matchup, with Sean Gogolin (Winchester, Mass.) had seven points with a pair of boards.
 
Tyler Stewart led Wentworth with 25 points coming off the bench, shooting 10-13 from the floor. Conor Rubenskas was perfect from the field knocking down eight shots, including three from long range, for 19 points.  Jack Connell added 16 points, dishing out four assists.
 
After the Hawks jumped out to a 7-0 before the Leopards cut the lead down to three with 15:19 remaining. Roger Williams led 28-22 before the Leopards rattled off six straight to level the matchup with 4:33 remaining in the first half.
 
The Leopards tied and then overtook the Hawks with a pair of free throws at 3:07 remaining, before going into the halftime break, 39-33.
 
Wentworth opened the second half, rattling off 12 straight points to open the frame taking control of the game and building a lead that they would not relinquish.
 
Roger Williams (13-10, 10-6 CCC) plays host to Endicott and Nichols for their final two contests of the regular season.  Hosting the Gulls on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 pm before the Bison visit for a 3 pm visit on Saturday, Feb. 18 for Senior Day.
