PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Roger Williams University wrestling team traveled to #2 Johnson & Wales on Friday evening, facing the Wildcats in a dual, eventually falling, 37-6.
After
Spencer Fetrow (Holliston, Mass.) was edged out, 5-4, the Hawks leveled the match score with a 10-6 victory at
Addison Boisvert (Scarborough, Maine) at 285-pounds. Joziah Fry then earned a pin at 125-pounds, before a 133-pound major decision victory by the Wildcats brought the match score to 13-3.
Johnson & Wales then used back-to-back pins as they extended their lead to 22. The Wildcats then had another pair of wins at 157-pounds and 165-pounds winning by decision before a technical fall win at 165-pounds.
Roger Williams got three points back, with a 3-1 sudden victory win by
Jayden Curley (Mansfield, Mass.) before the Wildcats capped off the match with a major decision win at 184-pounds.
Roger Williams now holds a 10-5 record in dual meets and will next be in action on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Henry Marsh Invitational hosted by the University of New Hampshire
