Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The Roger Williams University men's tennis team picked up a 5-4 win over UW-La Crosse on Thursday, in their final match of Spring Break at the United States Tennis Association (UTSA) National Campus.
After dropping their first match in doubles play, 8-1, the Hawks recovered with a No. 3 doubles win by
Ryan Carroll (Holden, Mass.) and
Alex Smith (Bedford, N.H.) won their match, 8-4. A win in No. 1 singles put the eagles up 2-1 heading into singles play.
Ryan Schuck (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Carroll each picked up wins at No. 5 and No. 2 singles respectively, before the Hawks
Konnor Collins (Brocken Arrow, Okla.) added a win at No. 3 singles, putting Roger Williams up 4-2. Another win by
Matt Glassman (West Hartford, Conn.) sealed the victory for Roger Williams with two matches remaining.
Roger Williams (6-1, 0-0 CCC) will return to action on Thursday, Mar. 23 at 4 pm against Springfield. The Hawks will then face Salve Regina on Saturday, Mar. 25 and host Curry on Tuesday, Mar. 28.
