BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University women's soccer team fell to Hartford, 6-0, Saturday afternoon at Bayside Field.
Hartford outshot Roger Williams 21-2, while
Coco Marelli (Fairfield, Conn.) made eight saves in the contest.
In the 12 minute of action, Christina Stone struck first in favor of Hartford. The goal was followed just under 10 minutes later by Imani Jenkins who scored the first of three goals in the contest, heading into the halftime break with a 2-0 lead.
The Hartford offense continued to put goals into the back of the net with a goal in the 61
st minute before Kathleen Brush kicked off a span of three goals for Hartford over a span of 4:08, including two from Jenkins.
Roger Williams (1-4-1, 0-0-0 CCC) will travel to face Fitchburg State on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 4:00 pm before hosting WPI on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 7:00 pm. The Hawks will then face Curry on Saturday, Sept. 23.
