WENHAM, Mass. – The Roger Williams University women's volleyball team fell to Gordon on Saturday afternoon, 3-0 (27-25, 25-17, 25-20), at the Bennett Athletic Center.
 
Gordon hit .222 in the match, while holding Roger Williams to .102.  The Hawks had 16 errors in the match to Gordon's 19.  The Hawks also led in Blocks with six in the match.
 
Kaylee Jackson (Naugatuck, Conn.) had a team high seven kills, while Rachel Borzone (Syosset, N.Y.) added three aces. Peyton Felix (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) was in on five blocks, with Emma Bosco (North Andover, Mass.) assists in the matchup.  Marianna Hernandez (Norwalk, Conn.) had 13 digs in the match.
 
Roger Williams led 22-13 in the first half but the Fighting Scots used a six-point run, scoring   14 of the final 17 points in the set.
 
After falling in the first set, Gordon led wire-to-wire in the second, before closing out the match in the third set after, the Hawks cut the lead down to one. Gordon then had five of the final six points to close out the match.
 
Roger Williams (3-8, 0-1 CCC) will host Brandeis on Friday, Sept. 29 at 6:00 pm, before traveling to Henniker, N.H. for a Saturday, Sept. 30 match at New England College. The Hawks will then take on Nichols on Wednesday, Oct. 4.
