Women's Soccer: Hawks Give In to UNE 0-1

BIDDEFORD, MAINE -  The Roger Williams University women's soccer team traveled up to the University of New England on Saturday for their next conference matchup on Barbara J. Hazard Field, where they succumbed 0-1.

The Hawks had four shots this match, only one of which landed on goal, two from senior Rachel Oster (Scituate, R.I.) and two from Julia Robbins (Johnston, R.I.). Both players were able to find their way in around the top of the box and take chances, but neither could find the back of the net. The Nor'easters had a total of 20 shots, placing more than half of them on goal. The Hawks had zero corner kick opportunities to the Nor'easters' nine for the duration of the game.

Defensively, the Hawks' goalkeeper, junior Coco Marrelli (Fairfield, Conn.), defended the goal well, facing an amazing 20 shots during the match, allowing just one goal in within the 73rd minute of the game.

The Roger Williams women's soccer team (6-3-5, 0-1-3 CNE) will face solely conference match ups for the duration of the season.
