Women's Soccer: Hawks Suffer Defeat in CNE Matchup Against Endicott, 1-2.

BRISTOL, R.I.-  The Roger Williams women's soccer team faced off against Endicott at home on Bayside Field, succumbing 1-2.
 
The Hawks had just two shots within the matchup both of which were placed on goal. The Gulls has 15 shots with eight of which being on frame. As for corner kicks in the matchup, the Hawks had four corner kick opportunities compared to the Gulls' seven corner kick chances. For fouls this game, the Hawks and the Gulls both yielded many throughout the match, having 10 and 11 fouls respectively.
 
In the first half of the matchup, the Hawks had no scoring opportunities at the beginning of the match. With junior goalkeeper Coco Marrelli (Fairfield, Conn.) making several good saves and keeping the scoreline to zeros. With just eight minutes left in the first half, the Gulls' Eliza Walker found the net after an intense bobble in the box which ultimately resulted with an injury for Marrelli. Junior goalkeeper Bailey Bourque (Litchfield, N.H.) subbed in for the Hawks before the Gulls found the back of the net again with a long shot from Chloe Bauman to send the first half, 0-2.
 
For the second half of the game, the Hawks fought back, rearranging some players to conjure up attacking opportunities. Sophomore defender Sarah Fogarty (Scituate, Mass.) made her way to the front line, receiving a through ball from Sarah Baptista (Smithfield, R.I.) in the 75th minute that ultimately led her on to score a goal for the Hawks.
 
Roger Williams women's soccer (6-4-5, 0-2-3 CNE) will be at home again for their senior day matchup with Nichols on Saturday, Oct 19th at 3:00 pm before they hit the road on Wednesday, Oct 23rd at 4:00 pm where they will face Wentworth on Sweeney Field in Boston, Mass.
