BOSTON, MASS. – The Roger Williams University women's soccer team traveled north to Boston where they faced Wentworth on Sweeney Field, defeating them, 2-1.
The Hawks had 18 shots this game, placing eight shots on goal compared to Wentworth's 11 shots and four on goal. The Hawks had six corner kick chances compared to Wentworth's four corner kick opportunities.
In the first half, the Hawks started off aggressively with a quick goal just under two minutes into the match.

Raffaella Brunetti (North Providence, R.I.) on an overlapping run, who took a long shot out, placing it in the top left corner of the net. Wentworth retaliated with a goal of their own 20 minutes later by Jenny Montville.
In the 77th minute, the Hawks found the net again with Brunetti getting her second goal of the match up from the top of the box, assisted by both
Sarah Baptista (Smithfield, R.I.) and
Rachel Oster (Scituate, R.I.).
Defensively this game, the Hawks'
Coco Marrelli (Fairfield, Conn.) faced 11 shots total, making three saves throughout the match.
The Roger Williams women's soccer team will be on the road again on Saturday, Oct 26th, where they will face Suffolk at 12:00 PM at Memorial Park in Boston, Mass. Following that, the Hawks will return home to round out the last match of regular season play by hosting Curry at 7:00 PM on Bayside Field on Tuesday, Oct 29th.
