BOSTON, MASS. – The Roger Williams University women's soccer team traveled to East Boston Memorial Park on Saturday to face Suffolk in their second to last match up of the 2024 season, drawing with them 0 - 0.
In the first half of the game, the Hawks totaled six shots whereas Suffolk had four shots. The Hawks placed two of these on net compared to Suffolk who placed zero on frame within the first half of the game. As for corner kicks, the Hawks had just two corner kick opportunities where Suffolk has only one more with three opportunities for the half.
In the second half of the matchup, the Hawks had seven shots compared to Suffolk's 13 but throughout the game, neither team managed to find the net to get a goal. The Hawk's
Raffaella Brunetti (North Providence, R.I.) led in shots taken having four for the duration of the game followed by
Rachel Oster (Scituate, R.I.) who had three.
Defensively this match, goalkeeper
Coco Marrelli (Fairfield, Conn.) was in net for 90 minutes, facing 17 shots and making five saves throughout the game.
The Roger Williams University women's soccer team (8-4-6, 2-2-4 CNE) will be at home on Tuesday, Oct 29th where they will host Curry for their last game of the 2024 regular season at 7:00 PM on Bayside Field.
