Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University men's tennis team defeated Bridgewater State on Wednesday, beating the Bears 9-0 on the RWU Tennis Courts.
 
Before the match, the Hawks honored Sam Gibson (East Hampton, Conn.). 
 
Opening in doubles action, Camden Poitras and Konnor Collins (Broken Arrow, Okla.) earned an 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles, before Gibson and Jackson Slattery (Watertown, Conn.) had an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles. Ryan Carroll (Holden, Mass.) and Matt Glassman (West Hartford, Conn.) had an 8-6 victory at No. 1 singles.
 
In singles action, Glassman earned the fourth victory of the match for the Hawks, before Carroll sealed the match at No. 1 singles. Collins earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles before Poitras beat Matthew Krampf 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
 
The Hawks rounded out the day with a win by Johnny Baldyga (Simsbury, Conn.) at No. 2 singles, before Brown closed out the match with a win at No. 5 singles.
 
Roger Williams (7-3, 0-0 CCC) will face Endicott on Friday, Mar. 29 at 3:00 pm before hosting Gordon on Wednesday, Apr. 3 at 4:00 pm.
