MILTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University men's tennis team defeated Curry in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) match, defeating the Colonels 9-0.
In doubles play,
Ryan Carroll and
Will Hurlbut combined for an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles, before
Camden Poitras and
Konnor Collins had win by a similar 8-0 score at No. 2 doubles. The Hawks completed the sweep in doubles play with an 8-0 win by
Johnny Baldyga and
Matt Glassman at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, the Hawks won three matches by identical, 6-0, 6-0, scores with Carroll, Poitras, and
Cooper Brown winning at No. 1, No. 3, and No. 6 singles respectively. Baldyga and Collins took their matches at No. 2 and No. 4 singles with 6-0, 6-1 scores, while Hurlbut took his No. 5 singles match, 6-1, 6-0.
Roger Williams (10-3, 3-0 CCC) will host Gordon on Thursday, Apr. 11 at 4:00 pm, before hosting Suffolk on Saturday, Apr. 13 at 12:00 pm. Roger Williams will then close out their regular season home slate on Wednesday, Apr. 17 at 4:00 pm.
