BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Athletic Department is excited to announce a partnership with Opendorse for their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) needs.
 
Opendorse's goal is to maximize NIL opportunities for student-athletes while delivering security and simplicity for all involved parties.  The tool will be used to help facilitate compliance among student-athlete NIL opportunities. Currently, the marketplace has been used by more than 100,000 student-athletes to manage deals.
 
The partnership will provide Roger Williams University student-athletes with full access to the company's all-in-one NIL Platform. This will help to provide compliance content and education tools, while also allowing student-athletes to ensure compliance by automatically disclosing details to their institution to ensure eligibility.
 
Student-athletes will receive on-demand access to share photos and videos, while simultaneously receiving access to in-person and on-demand virtual education sessions.
 
"We are really excited to enter the NIL landscape with such a reputable partner like Opendorse," spoke Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Head Women's Basketball Coach Kelly Thompson. "We believe our student-athletes at Roger Williams are extremely marketable and Opendorse will help them develop personal branding skills, provide them with opportunities for NIL deals, and create avenues for growth off of the playing fields. We also see this as a way to demonstrate to our prospective student-athletes that choosing to become a Hawk comes with opportunities that may not exist elsewhere.
 
Every Roger Williams student-athlete will receive an Opendorse profile to customize and promote on their social media channels. The platform will also allow opportunities to review, receive deals, accept compensation, and disclose NIL activities within the app.
 
As part of the partnership, Roger Williams will receive a branded marketplace. Fans, brands, sponsors and donors will be able to browse, book, pitch, and pay any RWU student-athlete for NIL activities, in a compliant platform, built specifically for the student-athlete's needs.
