WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – The Roger Williams University women's soccer team faced Hartford on the road on Saturday afternoon in their second CNE matchup this season, drawing them 1-1.
 
The Hawks' goal this matchup happened early on in the 12th minute, coming from junior Julia Robbins (Johnston, R.I.) assisted by senior Rachel Oster (Scituate, R.I.). Hartford's goal coming from a penalty kick taken by Imani Jenkins in the 15th minute shortly after the Roger Williams goal. In total, the Hawks only had the one shot which resulted in a goal compared to Hartford's 17 shots, 10 of which were on target, throughout the matchup.
 
Defensively this game, junior goalkeeper Coco Marrelli (Fairfield, Conn.) had a great game by holding the match to a 1-1 draw, making 8 saves throughout the game.
 
The Roger Williams Hawks (6-2-2, 0-0-2 CNE) will be returning home to Bayside Field where they will host Fitchburg State on Tuesday, Oct 1st at 4:00 pm before hitting the road again to face off against Gordon at the Brigham Athletic Complex in Wenham, Mass. Saturday, Oct 5th at 12:00 pm in their next CNE matchup.
