Box Score DUDLEY, Mass. — The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team continued its dominant stretch in conference play, sweeping Nichols College, 3–0 (25–15, 25–12, 25–15), on Saturday afternoon at the Nichols Athletic Center. With the win, the Hawks improved to 9–8 overall and remained perfect in Conference of New England action at 5–0.
RWU set the tone early, using efficient attacking to claim the first set 25–15. The Hawks hit .423 in the opener and never trailed after the first few rallies. Roger Williams followed with another commanding performance in set two, limiting the Bison to a .037 attack percentage while taking the frame 25–12. The third set saw more of the same as the Hawks sealed the sweep with a 25–15 win.
Sophomore setter Emma Bosco (North Andover, Mass.) ran the offense with precision, dishing out 29 assists while adding five digs and a service ace. Kaylee Jackson (Naugatuck, Conn.) led the team in kills with eight on a .333 hitting clip, while Brianna Picchietti (Batavia, Ill.) and Peyton Felix (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) each tallied six kills apiece. Kaydence Fish (Hampton, N.H.) provided a major spark with five kills and a .714 hitting percentage.
Marianna Hernandez (Norwalk, Conn.) anchored with 14 digs, while Izzy Unsworth (Milford, N.H.) added 10. As a team, Roger Williams hit .326 and recorded nine service aces to Nichols' one.
The Hawks (9–8, 5–0 CNE) will look to keep their momentum rolling when they travel to face UMass Dartmouth on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
