DANBURY, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Men's Ice Hockey team fell to Western Connecticut State University, 1-0, on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference tilt at the Danbury Ice Arena.

For the Wolves, also a first-year program, picked up their first-ever win, as the Hawks dropped to 2-6-0 on the season. WestConn saw Liam Lane make 22 saves in the game, stopping all of the shots he faced. Jacob Jaslow (Tomkins Cove, N.Y.) was tabbed with the loss after making 22 saves in 23 attempts.

The two teams played tight through the opening period, with the Wolves dictating play in the second frame outshooting the Hawks 14-3 as Jaslow was able to keep the blank sheet, shutting down four total power play opportunities for the Wolves on the evening.
