Men’s Ice Hockey: Hawks Drop to Bison in Early Season CNE Tilt

BURRIVILLE, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Ice Hockey team fell to the Bison of Nichols College, 7-1, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Saturday afternoon at Levy Rink.

Nichols established an early advantage with a pair of first-period goals and maintained steady offensive pressure throughout the game. CJ Zezima opened the scoring at 9:05, and Nick Brennan added a power-play tally late in the period to make it 2–0. The Bison extended their lead early in the second with goals from Zach Vandale and Aaron Hamel before Alexis Trudeau converted another power play midway through the frame.

Roger Williams responded quickly, as Christian Worrell capitalized just 24 seconds later off assists from Filip Kuba and Daxton St. Hilaire to put the Hawks on the board. Nichols added two more goals in the third period, Brennan's second of the night and a late marker from Tristan Kimmen, to close out the scoring.

Roger Williams (1-2, 0-2 CNE) will travel to #9 University of New England on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7:00 pm and at Suffolk on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 4:50 pm.
