HAMPTON, Va. – The Roger Williams University Men's Swimming team finished the third day of competition at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Swimming & Diving Championships in fifth place on Saturday at the Hampton Aquaplex.
In the Men's 200 Medley Relay, the Hawks finished sixth overall, but set a new program record in the process, finishing in 1:31.68. The Hawks added another medal in the afternoon, with
Riley Williams tallying a time of 3:57.82 in the 400 yard IM, placing third overall.
In the 100 yard Butterfly,
Seth Sutton cut 0.11 off his seeded time finishing 11
th overall with a time of 49.93.
Blake Anderson finished the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:43.31, while
Dylan Gourlay placed three spots back in 1:44.56.
Luke Austin placed 13
th overall in the 100 yard breaststroke, while
Cam Hogg finished shortly after in 58.17. In the 100 yard backstroke,
Jonathan Smith placed 17
th overall with a time of 52.84.
The Hawks sit fifth with 419 points, while The College of New Jersey leads the field with 1163 points. Merchant Marine and Salisbury sit second and third respectively with 766 and 751 points respectively. The NJAC Championships will conclude tomorrow.
