Women's Basketball: Four Recognized on CNE 40th Anniversary Team

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Basketball team saw four former student-athletes named to the Conference of New England (CNE) All-40th Women's Basketball Team.
 
Kaitlyn Bovee, the program's all-time leading scorer, with 1,570 points, was named to the team after being a three time First Team All-Conference selection and the 2013-14 Player of the Year.
 
A class of 2018 graduate, Mariah Nicholas was a 2017-18 Player of the Year, while also finishing the season with a stat line of 470 points, with 61 blocks and 35 steals, paired with 49 assists, and 206 rebounds.
 
Assistant coach Bridget Quilty was also named earning Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors in the 2016-17 campaign. Quilty's campaign saw her tally 389 points with 59 blocks and 27 steals, while also pulling down 177 rebounds.
 
Rounding out the team for the Hawks is Sandy Vinton who was the 1988-89 Co-Player of the Year, while also being named to the All-CCC teams in 1986 and 1987-88. Vinton scored 1044 points, with 167 steals, while also pulling down 197 rebounds for her career.
