SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Roger Williams University men's tennis team swept Western New England University, 7-0, on Friday at the Forest Park Tennis Courts in Conference of New England (CNE) play.

The Hawks extended their winning streak to 11 with a commanding performance in both doubles and singles play, leaving the Golden Bears (2-4, 1-2 CNE) unable to secure a single match.

Roger Williams secured all three matches in doubles play, as Camden Poitras and Will Hurlbut led the way at No. 2 doubles with a decisive 6-1 victory over Quinn Northrop and Nolan Jermain. Tucker Taylor and Iker Rodriguez Alcocer followed suit with a 6-1 win at No. 3, while Ryan Caroll and Bronson DeSisto sealed the doubles sweep with a 6-3 win at No. 1.

In singles play, Caroll set the tone at No. 2 with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Colby Esposito. Rodriguez Alcocer followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 over Henry Runyan, while Johnny Baldyga secured the victory at No. 5, defeating Nolan Jermain 6-1, 6-0.

DeSisto finished off his match at No. 1 with a 6-1, 6-1 win against Nick Bayer, while Poitras and Taylor each posted straight-set victories at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, to complete the sweep.

Roger Williams (11-1, 2-0 CNE) will host Endicott on Wednesday, Apr. 2 at 4:00 pm ahead of hosting Colby-Sawyer on Friday, Apr. 4 and Curry on Saturday, Apr. 5
