Track & Field: West and Tassey Set for NCAA Championship Stage

GENEVA, Ohio – The Roger Williams University Track & Field team will see two student-athletes travel to the SPIRE Institute for competition at the NCAA Division III National Championships.
 
Nathan Tassey will be making his second track national championship appearance after posting the fifth-best time in the Men's 10k in Division III this season. Tassey ran a school record 10k time of 29:28.10 at the Sean Collier Invitational earlier this season. Tassey earned All-American honors last season.
 
First-year Angela West will also be competing in the Women's Javelin as she threw for 41.57m, (136' 5") at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College, ranking 15th nationally. West is also one of three first-year women's competitors to participate in the throws at Nationals and the top-ranked three in her respective event.
 
Both Tassey and West will compete on Thursday, May 22.
