Kyle O'Brien Tapped as Assistant Athletic Trainer

BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University Head Athletic Trainer Jake Rezendes has announced the hiring of Kyle O'Brien as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.

"I am excited to join the staff at Roger Williams and for this new step in my career. RWU has an amazing athletics program and I am excited to be a part of it, and to help our student-athletes to compete at the highest level," spoke O'Brien.

O'Brien comes to RWU with experience across collegiate and high school athletics, most recently serving as a Graduate Intern Athletic Trainer at Central Connecticut State University. While at CCSU, he provided primary sport coverage for men's basketball, women's soccer, and baseball.

"I am thrilled to welcome Kyle to our staff and believe his energy and experience at the Division I level will greatly benefit the Athletic Training team," said Rezendes.

O'Brien is a certified and licensed athletic trainer, holding CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications. A member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 2019, he was recognized as a scholar-athlete at Westfield State, where he was a member of the men's track & field team and served as vice president of the Lambda Sigma Honors Society.
