2025-26 SAILING SCHEDULE
BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams University sailing team will compete in a full slate of New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) and national regattas during the Fall 2025 season, highlighted by multiple home events and postseason championship opportunities.
The Hawks open the campaign Sept. 6–7 with a busy weekend that includes the Mt. Hope Invitational hosted at the Richard L. Bready Mount Hope Bay Sailing and Education Center in Bristol. RWU sailors will also be represented across the region at the Harry Anderson Trophy (Yale), Toni Deutsch Trophy (MIT), Pine Trophy (Coast Guard), and Bears Invitational (Brown).
September features a strong lineup of championship qualifiers and fleet regattas, including the NEISA Monotype and Women's Singlehanded Championships at Brown (Sept. 13–14), the Hatch Brown Trophy at MIT, the Regis Trophy in Cambridge, the NEISA Match Race Championship hosted locally at Coast Guard (Sept. 20–21), and the Danmark Trophy at Coast Guard (Sept. 27–28). RWU will also compete in the Moody Trophy at Rhode Island and the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Round 1B at Navy.
October brings further high-profile competition, with the Hawks racing in the Open Atlantic Coast Championship Round 1A at Yale (Oct. 4–5), the Stu Nelson Trophy at Connecticut College, and the Sister Esther Trophy at Salve Regina. RWU is set to host the Captain's Cup on Oct. 18 in Bristol. The Hawks will close out the regular season with the Schell Trophy (MIT), Urn Trophy (Harvard), and Nickerson Trophy (Tufts) the weekend of Oct. 25–26.
The postseason culminates with the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) national championships. Old Dominion will host the ICSA Open Singlehanded and Women's Dinghy National Championships in Norfolk, Va., Nov. 8–9.
