Sailing: Six Hawks Named to ICSA All-Academic Sailing Team for 2024-25 Season

BRISTOL, R.I. – Six members of the 2024-25 Roger Williams University Sailing team were selected for the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) All-Academic Sailing Team as announced by the organization.

The Honor recognizes Juniors and Seniors who have participated as a competitor or alternate in seven regattas through the 2024-25 season, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

The Hawks honorees were Ruby Hope (Bellevue, Wash.), Mathieu Dale (Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands), Carly Kiss (Pewaukee, Wis.), Maren Matthews (Harbor Springs, Mich.), Claire Buckley (Bridgewater, Conn.), and Drew Mastovsky (Marion, Mass.).

In addition to the honor, Hope was named the Female Russo Award winner early this year at the Roger Williams University Athletic Awards banquet, honoring the graduating student-athlete with the highest GPA. Hope graduated with a degree in Marine Biology and a 3.923 GPA.
