SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Roger Williams University Women's Track & Field team competed at the Massasoit Classic as part of their abridged indoor season.
In jumps, Natalie Reid (Manorville, N.Y.) took seventh in the long jump at 4.85m, while first-year Hanna Tomany (Fremont, N.H.) took 14th in the high jump at 1.38m
Peyton Sullivan (Weymouth, Mass.) placed 23rd in the shot put at 7.63m. Emma Jackson (Naugatuck, Conn.) took 20th in the weight throw at 9.79m.
In the 60-meter hurdles prelims, Madison Zelin (Long Island, N.Y.) took 16th and clocked 11:33. Zelin also took 16th in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:14.72.
On the track, Reid led the Hawks placing 22nd finishing in 8.60 in the 60-meter dash prelims. In the 200-meter run, Molly Burnett (Whitman, Mass.) took 27th with a time of 29.84. Olivia O'Neill (Westwood, Mass.) took 18th in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:56.89.
In distance events, Grace Baldwin (Braintree, Mass.) placed 11th in the 1 mile run clocking in at 5:52.00. Bree Killion (Rochester, Mass.) took 18th in the 3000-meter run, finishing with a time of 13:49.10.
The Hawks will now turn to prepare for their next indoor event when they return to Springfield College for the Triangle Classic on Feb. 20-21.
