Hall of Fame: Jenny Dill-Okubo '07 to be Enshrined in RWU Athletics Hall of Fame

BRISTOL, R.I. – Former Roger Williams University Women's Swimming and Diving standout Jenny Dill-Okubo '07 will be inducted into the RWU Athletics Hall of Fame as part of its 10th class on Friday, Oct. 16, during Homecoming and Family Weekend.

A captain of Roger Williams' inaugural swimming and diving team in 2005-06, Dill helped establish the foundation of the program, becoming its first New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association champion and setting school records in eight events during its first seasons.

Dill made an immediate impact during the Hawks' debut season, winning the 50-yard breaststroke at the 2006 NEISDA Championships. She earned All-NEISDA recognition in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events, along with the 800-yard freestyle relay, while helping Roger Williams capture its first Commonwealth Coast Conference Invitational title.

She continued that success during the 2006-07 season, adding All-NEISDA honors in the 50- and 200-yard breaststroke and the 800-yard freestyle relay. Across her two seasons, Dill collected seven All-NEISDA honors, contributing to the Hawks' success in both individual and relay competition.

Her accomplishments earned her recognition as the 2006-07 RWU Female Athlete of the Year. She also received Roger Williams' Rhode Island Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women Distinguished Athlete Award that year.

As a team captain, conference invitational champion and the program's first NEISDA champion, Dill helped set an early standard for Roger Williams swimming and diving. Her induction recognizes both her individual achievements and her contributions to the program's beginnings.

Dill joins Mark Mastin '92 of men's volleyball, J. Michael Lynch '01 of men's basketball, Matt Duggan '09 of sailing and the 2014 women's soccer team in the 2026 induction class. The Hall of Fame celebration will take place at the Mario J. Gabelli School of Business, beginning with a reception at 5:30 p.m.
