BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team earned a strong 5–2 conference victory over Nichols on Friday.

The Hawks took an early advantage by winning all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. Bronson DeSisto (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Ryan Carroll (Holden, Mass.) led the way with a 6–3 win at No. 1 doubles, while Camden Poitras (Londonderry, N.H.) and Will Hurlbut (Marion, Mass.) followed with a 6–4 victory at the No. 2 position. Iker Rodriguez Alcocer (Nuacalpan de Juarez, Mexico) and Steven Mathew (Bayport, N.Y.) completed the sweep with a 6–3 win at the No. 3 position.

Roger Williams continued its momentum in singles, picking up four wins to seal the match. DeSisto earned a straight-set victory at No. 1 singles, while Carroll added another point with a 6–0, 6–2 win at No. 2. Poitras secured a hard-fought win at No. 4 singles, and Hurlbut delivered a strong 6–0, 6–2 performance at the No. 6 spot.

Nichols picked up wins at No. 3 and No. 5 singles, but the Hawks' depth proved decisive as they secured the 5–2 team victory.

With the win, Roger Williams continues its strong play in conference competition and builds momentum heading into their next matchup on March 25th at 3:30 PM at Wentworth.
